Shindig!

Katie Clark is one of my best friends, and has been for many years! She will soon (on May 15) become Katie Sanford...With the wedding peeking around the corner we've been enjoying showers and parties for Katie and Jeff. I've got an awesome group of friends--when we are together we ALWAYS have a good time and find some way to share A LOT of laughs!!! With all of our lives beginning to get busier and busier it's so great to have these times to spend with each other. Our friendship is very rare...I'm so lucky to have these gals in my life!

Although my days seem to be running together, I always find time to create! Check out my latest Shindig earrings...

Grandma's Buttons...

I've had a few people ask if I made rings...and a few requests is enough for me to give it a try! I have jars of old vintage buttons and buttons that I've collected over the years. I was never sure of what I wanted to do with them, so their use has been pending for quite a while...until now. :o)

These are adjustable rings simply made with a neato vintage button set atop...pretty cool. ♥

Busy bee...

 These past couple of weeks have been super busy around this household, and my Etsy shop is starting to empty out (no complaints there). When time allows I've been digging deep into the creative side of my brain, getting new listings ready for the shop.

My pound pup Charlie has been such a trooper! We haven't been goin on our long walks or bike rides, only just enough balls thrown in the backyard to get his daily excercise...so I got him this rawhide bone to pass the time while I create and list new items throughout this week. Until our walks and bike rides continue, he seems satisfied for now... ♥

March: So much to celebrate...

 I love spring time! Especially after this unusually cold winter. I'm a lover of the sunshine and warmer weather March brings us. So, lets celebrate with the new "March Happiness" necklace. I found this bright green strand of beads at my favorite local flea market, and I didn't want to do too much to them. I basically just added the lace ribbon...they were so awesome as is!

It's a girl!

March 2nd...a new precious birthday to celebrate in the Link family! Kyle's brother (Eric) and his wife (Adrienne) welcomed a new baby girl Maizie Katherine Link into the family today! By the way Kyle is basically my life-long boyfriend...I've lost count of the years we've been together. :o) Anyway, little Maizie and her mamma are doing so well and we are all so blessed!

I've been wanting to branch out a bit...I've seen these banners and have been dying to have a reason to make one. So Maizie you were my practice run in the banner making department...hope your mamma loves it.

Sunshine = a Smile...

These past few days have been such a tease. Sixty degree weather, sunshine, waking up to the sound of birds chirping in my window (no joke)! I won't remind everyone about the sudden turn back to the super cold weather for the rest of the week (possible snow?). This Louisiana climate is so CAH-RAZY. Anyhoo, I have spring fever for sure. Here is a sneak peek at a few of the springish items I've been working on compulsively throughout these past few BEAUTIFUL days. These will be droping into my Etsy shop throughout the week. STAY TUNED and in the mean time bundle up for the cold weather to come.

A sunset breeze...

Love it? CLICK HERE

I will NEVER forget growing up my dad would drive my sisters and I to the lake to watch the sunset. He always told us anything that had to do with the sun, the time it set, the time it came up, the first day of winter, the first day of summer, etc...I mean after every softball game, soccer game, dinner, or any evening event we always ended up by the lake to hear what he had to say about the sun. I've always loved the sunset and I love this vintage cabochon because its colors remind me of a warm southern Louisiana sunset. I want to dedicate this necklace to those sunset memories.

P.S. Not to disappoint my dad, but I don't remember ONE SINGLE fact about the sun...just what it looked like setting by the lake.
